Lunch & Transportation
*Transportation will begin on Tuesday (kids will receive their bus tags Tuesday-Friday)
---->Kindergarten Bus Ride is on Monday, Aug 29. Your pick up time is 2 hours earlier than it is in the AM, but swapped to PM. For example, if I am picked up at 8:05am, my pick up time on Monday is 6:05pm at my bus stop. This is for KINDER kids and ONE parent ONLY (NO siblings!). Please have a second adult waiting for you at ZQuest. Roosevelt kinders and parents will be heading inside for their orientation and open house, but we have 4 weeks of school under our belts already, so no need for that!!! If you don't know your pick up time and/or bus stop location, please let me know. I am waiting for the document to be sent to me in a format that I can read, but will get that to you prior to Monday afternoon.
*Lunch services begin on Tuesday. If you haven't filled out the free/reduced lunch application, please do as this potentially gives our school extra funding. Please click here to apply online. If you don't have access to Internet, please let me know and I will send a paper copy home with your child on Tuesday. Don't worry, they will still be able to eat!

*Lunch times will be pretty quick starting on Tuesday. We generally allowed our younger kiddos to eat and take their time, but still make sure they had 5-10 minutes of recess. While they will have the same amount of time for lunch and recess, they will be sent out by the lunch supervisors quicker than what they are used to as we are trying to get 2 schools through the lunch line and have seating for everyone. Use this week to work on them eating the things that will provide them with the most nutrients and keep them full longest. They will have brain break times and recess (other than lunch) where they can have a snack.
Drop off & Pick up
*School is now Monday-Friday (until June 2017)
*7th and 8th grade start time is 7:35am and dismissal is 2:30pm
*K-6th grade start time is 8:40am and dismissal is 3:40pm
*Drop off is at the MAIN entrance; you may park or drop off in either the EAST or the WEST lots.
*Pick up is in the WEST lot (between Creekside and Roosevelt/ZQuest). There is NO playing on the playground until 3:55pm to ensure that Roosevelt students and ZQuest students are all picked up. Please be sure to respect this request.
**IMPORTANT for BIKE RIDERS**If your child rides a bike to school, please remind them that they MUST chain their bike up to the rack near the WEST side of the building and NOT chain it up to the building posts along the front of the school. Our kids have been doing this and have been asked to NOT continue.
Camp Henry
*Grades 5th-8th head out to Camp Henry on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 9am. Please make sure they are at school with all of their needed overnight things. They WILL NEED a sack lunch for Thursday & a WATER BOTTLE for their stay. All other meals will be provided at camp. Creekside teachers have been notified that they will not be in attendance on Thursday and Friday. If your child is participating in a Creekside sport, it is their responsibility to talk to their coach before Wednesday, Sept. 7, so that they can be excused from practice. Please talk to them about being proactive on this one!!!
*Grades Kinder-4th will head out to Camp Henry on Friday, Sept. 9 at 9am. Please make sure they are at school WITH A SACK LUNCH, a SNACK & a WATER BOTTLE for this day!
*All grades WILL DEPART Camp Henry on Friday, Sept. 9 at 4pm. We will arrive back at school around 5:30pm. Please make arrangements to be at school slightly before 5:30pm for pick up. I will post updates on Facebook if there are going to be any needed adjustments.
6th grade Creekside Electives
*If your 6th grader signed up for band, choir or orchestra, please make sure that they are at school the first week back ON TIME, walking into Creekside prior to 8:35am. They will need a little adjustment time in order to find their class and locker. We are going to see how the bussing situation goes for those who shuttle in to ZQuest because of the new start times. My guess is it won't be many kids and being a few minutes late will be fine (I've given them all a heads up), but when possible, we'd love for them to get there a little early. If you aren't sure if your 6th grader is affected by this, please check the GREEN CREEKSIDE FOLDER that was sent home with them that has their schedule. If they have 2nd hour at Creekside, this is them!
be nice. T-shirt Order
T-shirts are $8 and will be worn (at least) on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of each month as we have dedicated this as our District be nice. day! You can still order until Sept. 8! I sent home a pink order form with all OLDEST and/or ONLY ZQuest child. Please return that and a check made out to ZQuest or cash by that date to ensure that you will receive your shirt before our October be nice. day! If you need a new form, please see the attached PDF of it!
