Hello Families!
A few more tips that have come up as the weekend is slowing down and back to school full time is tomorrow!
*School is Monday-Friday NOW!!!
*7th-8th graders begin at 7:35am and dismiss at 2:30pm
*Kinder-6th grade begin at 8:40am and dismiss at 3:40pm
*Any 6th grader with an 8:34am start time at Creekside for band, choir or orchestra should do their best to make it on time this week! We won't know if we have a time issue for another week or so, once busses get into a routine and set times! I'll keep you posted on this over the next 2 weeks.
*Drop off for everyone is in either parking lot and entrance is through the main doors.
*Pick up for everyone is in the WEST parking lot. There is NO playing on the playground until 3:55pm OR when ALL ZQuest and ROOSEVELT students are picked up. Please respect this rule, we want to make sure that all kids are picked up and not just playing on the playground, leaving us to miss someone and cause a lot of unneeded stress and anxiety.
*It has come to my attention that all 6th-8th grade bussing information is housed on Parent Portal. I'm going to send Parent Portal sheets home to ALL families so that this miscommunication doesn't happen in the future. In addition, kids who ride the bus can be tracked by their parents through Parent Portal--texts can be sent to you when they get on the bus and off the bus (a pretty nice security feature)!
*You will also be getting a Student Census form sent home this week as well. These are used to update information on each student in the case of an emergency. Please make sure that this also gets signed and returned to us by the end of the week!
Lunch
* If you want to pay online for lunches you may do so at www.sendmoneytoschool.com. You need your child's student number, in which your child's teacher can easily send to you if you shoot them an email. There is a fee for depositing money online, so if you would like to skip over that fee, let your child's teacher know and they can send home lunch envelopes that you can send cash or check in for their lunch.
Camp Henry
*It's going to be a pretty crazy week with back to school for the rest of ZPS and our kids getting used to sharing a building again with Roosevelt. Please keep in mind that Camp Henry is this week!
*Thursday, Sept. 8, all 5th-8th graders will head out to camp at 9:00am. All 6th-8th graders WILL NOT attend their Creekside classes UNLESS they are in a 1st hour class at Creekside (7:35-8:30). If they have a 2nd hour-6th hour class, they have already been excused, HOWEVER they MUST connect with their teacher by Wednesday in order to make sure that there is nothing that they need to know for Thursday or Friday.
*In addition, if there are any 6th-8th graders participating in any Creekside sports, you MUST communicate camp to your coach as well. You will be excused, however they need to know that you will be gone with your class on a school trip.
*5th-8th graders MUST bring a sack lunch and a water bottle for Thursday. All other meals will be provided for you! There will be a packing list that I send home tomorrow as well so that you will be prepared for overnight!
*Friday, September 9, Kinder-4th grade will leave for Camp Henry at 9:00am. ALL kinders-4th graders will need to pack a sack lunch, a snack, and a water bottle for Friday! A reminder will be sent again on Wednesday for everyone! If your ZQ kinder-4th grader has a ZQ field trip shirt, please plan to wear that on Friday (they are ordered, but I'm not sure they will arrive before Friday...I'll keep my fingers crossed though!).
*ALL Kinder-8th grade kiddos will board busses at Camp Henry at 4:00pm and arrive back at ZQuest at approximately 5:30pm. Please plan on being at ZQ shortly before 5:30pm in order to pick up your kiddos from camp! We promise they WILL be TIRED & DIRTY, but they will have FUN! Please watch the ZQuest Parents Facebook page for updates on travel! I will also do my best to make sure pictures are being uploaded on the page as frequently as possible so you can see how much fun the kids are all having on Friday!
